Follow us here: + FACEBOOK: + INSTAGRAM: + EMAIL: miraclecaptures@gmail com Malabari Chicken Dum Biriyani --------------------------------------------------- Malabari chicken dum biriyani is very popular in its taste all over kerala(southern part of India) Kozhikoden Biriyani and Thalassery biriyani are most popular among this Here the recipe of kozhikoden dum biriyani with fried chicken for 3 people is presented The main steps are 1 Marination of chicken 2 Garnishing preparation 3 Masala preparation 4 Rice preparation 5 Dum making You can also make biriyani using normal chicken( without using fried chicken) Ingredients 1 Marination of chicken Chili powder-1/2tsp Turmeric powder-1/4tsp Pepper powder-1/4tsp Salt-to taste Garam masala powder-1/4tsp Chicken -250g 2 Garnishing preparation Onion (medium) – 1 cup(thin slices) A pinch of cardamom powder and sugar Pineapple-small piece( finely chopped) Cashew Nuts-handful Raisins(unakka munthiri) 3 3 Masala and rice preparation Jeerakashala Rice(chinigura rice)-3 cup Onion small – 2 medium /1 large Tomato –2 medium (chopped) Ginger-big piece Garlic-4pods Green chilli-3-4 Curd – 2tbsp Coriander leaves – 1/4 cup(chopped) Mint leaves (Pudhina) – 1/4cup(chopped) Garam masala – 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder-1 1/4tsp Pepper powder (black)-1tsp Biriyani powder – 2 tsp Salt – As reqd Pineapple-small piece( finely chopped) Yellow color/ turmeric water-one pinch Cinnamon-4 Cloves-5 Cardamom-10 Ghee Oil Method 1 Marination of chicken Mix all the ingredients for marinate along with chicken in a bowl Keep in the fridge for minimum 20 minutes 2 Garnishing preparation In a kadai heat oil and add sliced big onion and fry till it become golden colour add a pinch of cardamom powder and sugar into it then drain and keep aside Fry pineapple, cashew nuts ,raisins and keep that also aside 3 Masala preparation Heat oil in a pan Fry the marinated chicken pieces ( till 3/4th ) drain and keep aside Then add sliced big onion and sauté till onion turn light brown Then add mint leaves +coriander leaves and Crushed green chilly ,ginger ,garlic together and cook for 2 min Now add tomato pieces and cook well Add biriyani masala, turmeric powder, pepper powder one by one and sauté well After the raw smell of masalas are gone add +2tsp curd and 1/2 tsp garam masala powder and Stir well Then add fried chicken mix well Then small amount hot water into this Mix well and cook till the chicken gets soft When the gravy appears to be dark brown colour and the chicken get soft turn off the gas and keep aside 4 Rice preparation Heat the pot add 2 2 tsp of oil/ghee then add 3 cups of rice into it fry the rice till it get separated at in low flame After that add 6 cups(double the amount of rice) of boiling water into it Add salt ,cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and a pinch of garam masala powder and allow it to cook(until 3/4 cooked) When rice is ¾ th cooked Switch off the gas and and keep aside 5 Dum preparation Take a big vessel and grease it with ghee/ oil Then in the bottom portion of the vessel add the whole chicken and gravy Then add rice above it and sprinkle both fried onion, leaves ,pineapple, yellow colour mix, cashew nut mix Then close the lid tightly Switch on the gas and keep that for 35 minutes in a very low flame By that time biriyani will be baked Finally as shown in the video take out the rice and masala , mix them separately for serving #chickenbiryani #simplechickenbiryani #malabarbiriyani #dumbiriyani #indianfood #indianbiriyani #keralabiriyani #easychickenbiryani #friedchickenbiriyani #biriyani #chickenbiryanirecipe #bachelorchickenbiryani #miraclecaptures #miraclecapturesrecipe #korean #koreanmallu #koreancooking #chicken Music:
