Those Who Fear God! 본문 : 출1:15-21 Exodus 1:15-22 15 애굽 왕이 히브리 산파 십브라라 하는 사람과 부아라 하는 사람에게 말하여 Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah, 16 이르되 너희는 히브리 여인을 위하여 해산을 도울 때에 그 자리를 살펴서 아들이거든 그를 죽이고 딸이거든 살려두라 "When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live " 17 그러나 산파들이 하나님을 두려워하여 애굽 왕의 명령을 어기고 남자 아기들을 살린지라 But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live 18 애굽 왕이 산파를 불러 그들에게 이르되 너희가 어찌하여 이같이 남자 아기들을 살렸느냐 So the king of Egypt called the midwives and said to them, "Why have you done this, and let the male children live?" 19 산파가 바로에게 대답하되 히브리 여인은 애굽 여인과 같지 아니하고 건장하여 산파가 그들에게 이르기 전에 해산하였더이다 하매 The midwives said to Pharaoh, "Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them " 20 하나님이 그 산파들에게 은혜를 베푸시니 그 백성은 번성하고 매우 강해지니라 So God dealt well with the midwives And the people multiplied and grew very strong 21 그 산파들은 하나님을 경외하였으므로 하나님이 그들의 집안을 흥왕하게 하신지라 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families 22 그러므로 바로가 그의 모든 백성에게 명령하여 이르되 아들이 태어나거든 너희는 그를 나일 강에 던지고 딸이거든 살려두라 하였더라 Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, "Every son that is born to the Hebrews you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live "
