Seoraksan (and Sokcho) are very special to us Back in 2018, when we were just dating, we went to hike Seoraksan and had an amazing experience! The mountains are unique in Korea; they are very rocky and the highest in the Taebaek mountain range in the Gangwon Province in eastern South Korea Seoraksan is located in a national park near the city of Sokcho Sokcho is a beautiful, easy-going city on the north-eastern side of South Korea It is very close to the border with North Korea We would recommend going out of season (not on long weekends and not in Korean vacation times) as Sokcho is a mere 2-3 hour drive from Seoul, making it an easy drive for the people of Korea’s biggest city to go on vacation and to experience the beautiful mountains and beaches Sokcho was not built for lots of traffic, and we often got stuck in deadlocked intersections due to the many tourists Nevertheless, we had a great time, and we are so happy that we could experience this beautiful place once more with our beloved and beautiful baby boy!
