QT sharing Text: Genesis 19:1-11 Title: God Visiting Sodom Castle God was well served in Abraham's tent and went to the city of Sodom where Lot lived Lot was taken captive by the Sodomites in the war, but it seems that Abraham's rescue made him famous and one of the richest men It proves this fact that Lot was sitting at the gate (19:1) At that time, the people who sat at the gates were famous persons They did business, fellowship, conducting trials When Lot was sitting in a place like this, two angels arrived at the city Many people were sitting, but it was Lot who accepted these two as guests Lot kindly suggested to these two people, "Please turn aside to your servant's house You can wash your feet, and spend the night and go on your way early in the morning(2) " But the two people refused, saying, "No, we'll spend the night in the square(2) " However, at Lot's petition, the two went into Lot's house Lot prepared a table, baked unleavened bread, and served dinner We've been told a lot about how to treat our guests well There is a comparison between Lot's treatment of guests at home and Abraham's treatment of guests Lot only baked unleavened bread and served dinner, not with the wife (3) Lot saw them as low-ranking people passing by However, Abraham prepared and served with all his family and servants all kinds of fat and delicious food, such as veal, butter, milk, and bread Abraham treated the stranger like a dear person And he received many blessings (18:1-33) However, the two angels of God did not complain and had a good dinner with Lot During this dinner, the villains living in Sodom were preparing to attack Lot's family And when he went to bed, he attacked Lot's house (4) We can expect Lot to have a chance to have a good conversation and many blessings with the two angels in a quiet evening, but that wasn't it The time of blessing did not come to Lot because the city's attacks began God asks us to be compassionate for the hungry hearts of strangers and to treat them well God asked us not to pick up the leftovers again for the hungry traveler during the harvest (Deut 24:19-21: 15:11) God promised to bless His hand to the poor (Deut 15:10) Jesus said that what he did to the hungry who had nothing to eat or drink was what he did to me (Matthew 25:35-36) God said, “Try to treat your guests” (Rom 12:13), and when setting up elders, he said to raise people who are good at hospitality (Titus 1:8) In the entire Bible, it is no coincidence that Abraham and his wife gave birth to a son who had waited for 24 years after being treated as a guest and received the title of God's friends It can be said that in all of his blessings, this hospitality was also affected However, after serving as a guest, Lot left the city with the destruction of Sodom's city, where he lived Lord of love! Be a person who always treats the guests who come to our house with great care and let them cherish the fragrance of Christ!! Amen! 하나님은 아브라함의 천막에서 대접을 잘 받으시고 롯이 살고 있는 소돔 성으로 가셨습니다 롯은 전쟁으로 소돔 사람들과 함께 포로로 잡혀갔지만, 아브라함의 구출 덕택에 유명해지고, 유지가 된 것 같습니다 롯이 성문에 앉아 있었다는 것이 이 사실을 증명해 주고 있습니다(19:1) 당시 성문에 앉은 사람들은 성안의 유지들과 유명 인사들로, 성문은 이들이 앉아 사업도 하고, 사귐도 갖고 재판도 하던 장소였습니다 이런 자리에 롯이 앉아 있을 때 두 천사가 그 성에 도착했습니다 많은 사람들이 앉아 있었겠지만 이 두 사람을 손님으로 영접한 사람은 롯이었습니다 롯은 이 두 사람에게 “종의 집으로 들어와 발을 씻고 주무시고 일찍이 일어나 갈 길을 가소서”라고 친절하게 제안했습니다 그러나 이 두 사람은 “아니라 우리가 거리에서 밤을 새우리라“고 거절했습니다 그러나 롯의 간청으로 이 두 사람은 롯의 집으로 들어갔습니다 롯은 식탁을 베풀어 무교병을 구워 저녁식사를 대접했습니다 롯이 가정에서 손님을 대접하는 마음과 아브라함이 손님을 대접하는 것이 비교가 됩니다 롯은 단지 무교병을 구워 저녁식사를 대접했습니다(3) 롯은 이들을 지나가는 낮은 신분의 사람으로 보았습니다 그러나 아브라함은 송아지, 버터, 우유와 떡 등 온갖 기름지고 맛있는 것으로 온 식구들과 종들과 함께 준비해 대접했습니다 아브라함은 귀한 사람처럼 나그네를 대접했습니다 그리고 많은 축복을 받았습니다(18:1-33) 그러나 하나님의 두 천사는 조금도 불평하지 않고 롯과 함께 저녁식사를 잘 하셨습니다 이렇게 저녁식사를 하는 동안 소돔에 사는 악당들은 롯의 가정을 공격하기 위해 준비를 하고 있었습니다 그리고 잠자리에 들 무렵 롯의 집을 공격했습니다(4) 롯이 조용한 저녁시간에 두 천사와 함께 좋은 대화와 많은 축복을 받을 수 있는 기회를 가질 수도 있겠다는 기대를 할 수 있지만 그것이 아니었습니다 바로 성 사람들의 공격이 시작되었기 때문에 롯에게는 축복의 시간이 오지 않았습니다 하나님은 우리에게 나그네의 굶주린 마음을 긍휼이 여기고 대접을 잘하도록 부탁하고 계십니다 추수 때에는 굶주린 나그네를 위해 따고 남은 것을 다시 따지 말도록 부탁하셨습니다(신24:19-21: 15:11) 하나님은 가난한 사람들에게 베푸는 그 손을 축복하시겠다고 약속하셨습니다(신15:10) 예수님은 먹을 것과 마실 것이 없는 굶주린 자에게 행하는 것이 곧 나에게 행한 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다(마25:35-36) 하나님은 “손님 대접하기를 힘쓰라”(롬12:13)고 하셨으며, 장로를 세울 때는 손님대접을 잘하는 사람을 세우라고 말씀하셨습니다(딛1:8) 성경전체를 볼 때, 아브라함 부부가 손님 대접을 한 후에 24년 동안 기다렸던 아들을 낳았고 하나님의 벗이라는 칭호를 받은 것은 결코 우연이 아닙니다 그가 받은 모든 축복 속에는 손님 접대도 영향을 주었다고 할 수 있습니다 그러나 롯은 손님 대접을 한 후에 자기가 거주하는 소돔 성 멸망과 함께 그 성을 경우 빠져나왔습니다 사랑의 주님! 우리 집에 오는 손님을 항상 정성껏 대접하는 사람이 돼 그리스도의 향기를 풍기게 하소서!! 아멘!
